News from Dr. Jezdinsky

Posted by kingsway.dental on Mon, 2 Mar 2015

I have some news that I consider rather exciting. I have been contacted by InsidersReview.tv which is in the process of making a video of me on the topic of how to chose the right dentist. The video will be available to me probably in about a week. I have also been contacted by the local Toronto film studio and I had a short interview with them, both, audio and video which was more or less an auditioning effort which if successful could give me a participation in a pilot show on an American national network....

Treatment for snoring and sleep apnea

Posted by Dr. Jezdinsky on Thu, 8 May 2014

In addition to all the services that we provide our patients with and which are already listed on my website, we also provide appliances used for the treatment of snoring and sleep apnea. Naturally, the first step that patients suspecting a sleep apnea should take, is getting properly diagnosed. That is done in the sleep labs where the patient stays overnight and the severity of the condition is determined. The seriousness of the problem is rated by the number of times the patient experiences apnea on an ho...

New crown and bridge material

Posted by Dr. Jezdinsky on Tue, 4 Mar 2014

New crown and bridge material We are currently testing a new crown and bridge material. It is distributed under the name Aquasil Plus cordless. The advantage of this technique is supposed to be the feature of not having to use retraction cords prior to the impression which is required in other impression techniques. Placing the cord is a part of the crown and bridge procedure disliked by the operators as well as the patients but required with other impression materials to provide an accurate model for the tech...

Sonicfill technology

Posted by Dr. Jezdinsky on Wed, 3 Jul 2013

I have recently acquired the Sonicfill technology for the placement of tooth shade materials for filling teeth. As I stopped using silver amalgam as the method of choice for filling teeth in not cosmetic areas of the mouth many years ago, I find this method a significant improvement. Using tooth shade materials {light cure resins called composites} for filling the premolars and molars has been a challenging task from the beginning. These materials are considerably more technique sensitive than the old silver amalga...

Terminology

Posted by Dr. Jezdinsky on Sat, 19 Jan 2013

In this article today I wish to discuss terminology, in other words the use of synonyms or almost synonyms to express our thoughts. These days most of us, dentists who have practised for many years decide to limit the scope of their practice to the areas that we feel most comfortable with and the best at. We specialise. However, the word specialise is frowned upon by the regulatory body of dentistry as it is supposed to be used only by certified specialists whose practice is totally limited to their field. I ma...

Regular Size vs. Small Diameter Implants

Posted by Dr. Jezdinsky on Wed, 12 Dec 2012

In my office I use the regular size implants for the support of fixed dentistry, that is crowns or caps as people refer to them and f...
